Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 1 day a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–1 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Cafecitos at (310) 847-0764; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, cafecitos.biz.

Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A one of a kind find at Lakewood and Long Beach Farmers Market on Clark. It’s a family owned business that really delivers. Incredible coffees, lattes, etc.

Was so excited to see these guys at the Lakewood farmers market on Saturdays! We’ve tried the abuelita’s latte and the Horchata latte. Both are delicious and we love that we can get oat milk as well. This is NOT the dowsed in sugar specialty latte, it’s light on sweet and bold on coffee, and it’s clear that they know what they’re doing! This is now our special weekend treat. β˜•οΈ Updating this to say that I don’t think there are at the Lakewood farmers market anymore. Quite bummed!
